Artist Bio

Doug Peterson received his first camera when he was seven and has been taking pictures ever since.

Doug is a volunteer photographer at the Crocker Art Museum and Great Dane Rescue of Northern California. In addition he has worked with the SPCA and Sacramento City College. He has extensive experience with studio techniques and lighting methods, and his rapport with children and dogs have resulted in some of his finest shots. He also loves food, portrait, landscape, and travel shooting.

Doug has self-published many books of his work and photographed many weddings, graduations and social events. He has won several awards including Outstanding Student Achievement for his work.


Doug lives in the Roseville California area and plans to be creating works of photographic art for many years to come.
